At last, a quality stable door base at an affordable price. If you've been looking for solid oak stable doors, then your search is over.
We are delighted to bring to market a high-quality stable door system. Made from solid oak, the doors are supplied unfinished so that you can apply the finishing touches yourself in your preferred style that will complement your existing finishes.
You can choose your style of top to match this base; we have a range available from traditional cottage tops, through to French and panel styles, allowing you to mix and match throughout the range.

Just ensure that the size of the tops and the bases are for the same size 'finished' door i.e. 78" x 33". This stable door base is a full 44mm thick, meaning that the frame and inside panels are all 44mm. The inside panels are floating, therefore allowing for the wood to expand and contract with different weather conditions and minimising problems associated with solid wood doors.
We also supply an Oak Weatherbar to match the door, which will be required should the door be "open to the elements". Sold separately as not everyone will need one...ie, if your door is situated within an enclosed porch. Click here for Oak Weatherbars.
Our range of external doors are made from solid oak; however, we do not recommend usage in exposed areas, i.e, direct rain or hot sun. Therefore, we recommend use in sheltered areas with a porch or canopy.
Please follow these treatment and maintenance instructions to preserve the beauty and strength of the wood.
External Doors are supplied unfinished. You will need to use a treatment suitable for external doors; we recommend the Impranol range for External doors. Click here for Impranol.
